Distillation is used to separate the different constituents of a liquid mixture thanks to the difference in their volatility or boiling point. To carry out this process, heat input is required. This heat input facilitates the transformation of the liquid into vapour when boiling point is reached. The vapour is condensed and the temperature reduced when the mixture passes through the condenser. This is how the different constituents of the mother liquid are separated DISTILLER S.A. has four simple distillation columns that carry out this kind of process and they recover different solvents that will later be reused. |
